Meet Emily & Sophie
Reactive Paws is a mother-and-daughter team. Emily, the owner and groomer, spent 14 years as a police officer before following her lifelong dream of opening her own salon, and is currently studying dog behaviour and psychology. Sophie, her daughter, is a dog trainer with a special passion for nervous and reactive dogs, and works alongside Emily on our dedicated reactive days. Between them, every dog gets calm hands, endless patience, and a groom at their own pace.

Reactive Dogs Are Our Specialty
Many dogs find grooming frightening — some because of past experiences, some by temperament. We built Reactive Paws around those dogs. Our mother-and-daughter team (a groomer and a dog trainer) uses gentle, fear-aware handling and gradual desensitisation to turn grooming from an ordeal into something your dog can genuinely cope with — and even enjoy. If your dog has been turned away elsewhere, we’d love to meet them.
