Welcome to Reactive Paws Dog Grooming, where every dog is treated with patience, kindness and respect. We created Reactive Paws because we believe grooming should be a positive experience for every dog — not just those who are confident and easy to handle. Many dogs experience fear, anxiety or stress during grooming, while others have had negative past experiences that make regular grooming challenging. Our passion is helping these dogs feel safe, understood and supported.
As a home-based salon, we offer calm, one-on-one appointments in a quiet environment without the noise, crowds or pressure of a busy grooming salon. We take the time to build trust, move at your dog’s pace, and use gentle, fear-aware handling techniques to reduce stress and create positive grooming experiences.
We welcome dogs of all breeds, ages and personalities. Whether your dog is a playful puppy, a senior needing extra care, or a reactive or anxious dog requiring patience and understanding, every grooming session is tailored to their individual needs.

Owner & Lead Groomer
Hi, I’m Emily, the owner of Reactive Paws Dog Grooming. After serving as a police officer for 14 years, I decided to follow my lifelong dream of opening my own dog grooming salon, and I’m currently studying dog behaviour and psychology. My focus is on creating a safe, low-stress environment. I’ve always had a deep love for animals, and I’m passionate about providing a calm, gentle, one-on-one grooming experience where every dog feels safe and cared for.
Reactive Paws is a family-oriented business, and as a proud mum of three, I know how important trust and compassion are. Every dog is treated with patience, kindness and respect — whether they’re confident, nervous or reactive. My goal is simple: to help every dog leave looking great, feeling comfortable, and happy to come back.

Dog Trainer
Dogs have always been a huge part of my life. I have been working as a dog trainer for the past two and a half years, helping dogs and their owners build confidence, trust and stronger relationships. I have a special passion for working with nervous and reactive dogs — taking the time to understand each dog’s individual personality and needs, and helping them feel safe, supported and comfortable as they learn and grow.
As part of our mother-and-daughter team, I work alongside my mum to provide a caring, one-on-one experience where every dog is treated with kindness, compassion and respect. I genuinely love what I do, and nothing makes me happier than seeing a dog become more confident and enjoy the training process.
